Jinshiyan Red Cliff is the most famous cliff landscape in Danxiashan. The cliff is approximately 200 meters long and 160 meters high. Due to the bright red color of the rock layers that make up the cliff, it appears exceptionally dazzling in the sunlight, making it one of the most attractive spots for tourists in Danxiashan. In the middle of the cliff, there are large flat caves and honeycomb-like caves. For over 1,000 years, these caves have been used to build Buddhist temples, making this an important cultural heritage site. During the rainy season, temporary waterfalls form on the cliff face, and these waterfalls resemble horse tails, hence they are also known as Horse Tail Waterfalls.
