Chaoshiding is a long, strip-shaped mountain that is 733 meters long and 202 meters wide. It features two main scenic attractions. Firstly, on its western side, there is a massive purplish-red cliff, which is a typical red cliff danxia landscape within Danxiashan, measuring 620 meters in length and 230 meters in height. Secondly, within the mountain, there is a large canyon, which is approximately 480 meters long, 10 to 20 meters wide, and 150 meters high. The formation of this canyon is primarily related to a vertical crack running through the rock layers (geologically referred to as a joints). After this crack formed, water flowed along it, eroding the rock layers, causing them to collapse continuously, which widened the crack and eventually formed the canyon.
