We are the Shaoguan Danxiashan Administrative Committee, the managing body of the National Study Tour Base for Primary and Secondary School Students at Danxiashan. We are responsible for the protection, research, and development of Danxiashan UNESCO Global Geopark and World Natural Heritage site.
First, allow us to introduce the basic situation of the Danxiashan Study Tour Base:
Danxiashan is located in Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province. It is the namesake and research base of the global danxia landscape, with a total park area of 292 Km2. We are currently working towards establishing it as a national park. Danxiashan is a National AAAAA tourist attraction and has been open to the public for over 40 years, receiving millions of visitors annually. The expressway leads directly to the park entrance, and we have comprehensive and safe tourism infrastructure, a high-quality and diverse scientific interpretation system, and a comfortable and convenient tourism service system, capable of simultaneously serving 2,000 students for dining, lodging, transportation, learning, and touring.
Danxiashan has always been committed to cultivating a mountain of science and education, adhering to the public welfare attribute of sharing with all. It has been recognized as a national and provincial science education base by multiple departments and was selected by the Ministry of Education in 2017 as one of the first national study tour practice bases for primary and secondary school students. The park includes the Danxiashan Museum, six popular science study trails, two riverside greenways, three nature education paths, two water exploration routes, and one scenic rural landscape route along Yuedan Route. These facilities allow teacher-student teams to carry out various themed popular science study activities, including geology, geomorphology, geography, ecological environment, history and archaeology, cultural tourism, and rural revitalization. We have invited experts in geology, ecology, culture, and education to compile the "Danxiashan Youth Study Handbook," based on which we have set up ten different experiential learning courses. These richly illustrated materials have been highly recommended by notable figures such as Yu Minhong.

To fully utilize the practical education functions of the Danxiashan Study Base, Science Popularization Base, and Global Danxia Landscape Research Center, we have established the Shaoguan Danxia Science Popularization and Study Practice Center and formed an excellent team of science popularization tutors. We have introduced a series of preferential and supportive policies:
Study tour teams of teachers and students can enjoy a 30% discount on Danxiashan tickets, priced at 30 RMB per person per visit (allowing multiple entries during one study tour without date restrictions). For impoverished students, schools can apply for ticket exemptions. Children under 6 years old or 1.2 meters in height are admitted free of charge.
The Danxiashan Museum is open to study tour teams free of charge. Reservations for visits and the use of teaching venues can be made, and the museum houses a large collection of professional books available for free reading (if needed for teaching, free borrowing can be arranged during the study tour at Danxiashan).
We offer over 200 "Heaven, Earth, Life, and People" courses and can tailor special study tour courses for schools, providing study tour practice certificates.
We have trained and certified over 80 outstanding science popularization tutors. They possess rich knowledge in geology, geomorphology, ecology, biodiversity, and the cultural science of Danxiashan, and use interactive explanations, guided observations, and hands-on experiments to achieve study tour teaching objectives.
We have coordinated with tourism enterprises within the park to offer the most favorable prices for teacher-student study tour teams, providing safe, hygienic, and comfortable food and lodging services according to school needs.
