Study tour delegation from Hong Kong visited Danxiashan UGGp.
Recently, 150 Hong Kong teachers and students visited Danxiashan UGGp to carry out a study tour with the theme of "sharing beauty, building dreams with childlike innocence".
Students are learning the formation of the danxia landscapes.
Guided by the mentors, the delegation visited Danxiashan Geological Museum and inspected the route of scientific research. They had an in-depth understanding of the evolution of danxia landscapes, observed common birds in Danxiashan through telescopes, and realized the ecological environment of the Geopark.
Students are planting trees.
At the site of the tree planting activity with the theme of " Guangdong & Hong Kong Teenagers work together to protect the World Heritage Forest" , the teachers and students of the Hong Kong delegation and Renhua No. 1 Middle School planted trees together under the guidance of their mentors. While learning the techniques of tree planting, the mentors passed on the importance of tree planting and ecological protection. There are four teachers and students in each group. Every group planted four to six trees and hung the wish cards "Young trees and I grow together" on the trees.

The delegation experienced the field study in an immersive way through visits, lectures, hands-on practices, etc. and acquired "small encyclopedia" knowledge. They exchanged ecological protection actions and the rich natural resources of Shaoguan as well as appreciated the great rivers and mountains of their motherland.
The study tour in Danxiashan UGGp continues to heat up since it provides students with rich resources and courses. According to incomplete statistics, from January to April 2023, Danxiashan UGGp has received more than 10,000 primary and secondary school students who went to carry out internship and field study trips. The achievements of the protection and development of Danxiashan UGGp have been well shared.
