Dryopteris shiakeana
Dryopteris shiakeana is a new species of the genus Dryopteris, discovered only in Danxiashan. Its distribution range is very small, and its population size is also limited. The species name shiakeana honors the famous Chinese Ming dynasty geographer Xu Xiake, who, over 400 years ago, was the first to describe the characteristics of danxia landscape in his writings.
