Danxiaorchis singchiana 

　　Danxiaorchis singchiana is a rare new species of orchid discovered only in Danxiashan, with a total population of less than 100 individuals. These orchids are unique in that they have flowers but no leaves, and cannot obtain nutrients through photosynthesis. Instead, they must rely on a mutualistic relationship with fungi in their environment to grow. They prefer to grow in damp, dark, and secluded areas of the mountains, making artificial transplantation very difficult. Due to their extremely narrow distribution and scarce population, they are listed in China's "National Second-Class Protected Plants" and the "IUCN Red List of Threatened Species" as Critically Endangered (CR).
