Firmiana danxiaensis
Firmiana danxiaensis is a new species of the family Sterculiaceae, discovered in Danxiashan in 1987, and is endemic to China. Firmiana danxiaensis is a tall plant that blooms from May to June with extremely beautiful flowers. However, its population is currently less than 100 individuals, mainly scattered in the crevices of cliffs or in shallow soil layers in the valleys of Danxiashan. It is currently listed in China's "National Second-Class Protected Plants" and the "IUCN Red List of Threatened Species" as Critically Endangered (CR).
