It primarily inhabits the wet rock surfaces in regions such as Guangdong, Guangxi, and Hong Kong in China. These beetles are about 3.6 to 4.0 millimeters long, oval-shaped, and strongly convex. Their backs are black, and their heads and pronotums often have a faint greenish sheen. They typically coexist with Cymbiodyta orientalis in the same areas.
