Hodophilus glaberripes
Hodophilus glaberripes is a newly identified species of agaric fungus discovered in China. It belongs to the family Clavariaceae within the Basidiomycota phylum. This species is characterized by its smooth, glabrous stipe and a distinctively colored cap that ranges from olive to grayish tones. The discovery of H. glaberripes marks the first record of the genus Hodophilus in China, contributing significantly to the understanding of fungal biodiversity in the region. The species was identified through detailed morphological examination and DNA sequencing.
