Cliff ecoysytem

　　One of the distinctive landforms of Danxiashan is the red steep cliffs, which often lack a soil layer, making it generally difficult for large trees to grow. However, in the height range of 171 to 600 meters on these cliffs, it is often an ideal habitat for many herbaceous plants, and some cliffs even support shrub growth. Certain plants that can adapt to the cliff environment are the first to take root here, creating a thin soil layer on the hard cliffs, which allows more plants to grow. Thus, this area is also an excellent region for studying cliff plants and plant-landform interactions.
