Danxiashan Global Geopark Museum, located at the right side of the entrance gate of Danxiashan scenic area, was built in 2003 with an area of 700m² and 6 exhibition halls.

The Overall Planning Hall stands first in the museum and there is a miniature model of Danxiashan scenic area in the middle of the hall. The model, made in the proportion of 1:6000 to the real region, displays a real complete panorama of Danxiashan Global Geopark to tourists, and the hall also includes the introduction and scenic pictures of Danxiashan, making tourists primarily learning about Danxiashan.

Multimedia Hall is a studio, which broadcasts the propaganda videos of Danxiashan in the form of multimedia and presents the geology, natural landscape, historical and cultural landscape and the development of tourism to tourists.

The Landscape Exhibition Hall displays the picturesque natural landscape, profound historical and cultural landscape and favorable ecological environment of Danxiashan, in addition, it also shows many specimens of animals and birds in the mountain, therefore, tourists can further learn about the biodiversity of Danxiashan.

The Geological Foundation and Tectonic Evolution Hall introduces the regional geological background of Danxiashan, such as the geological tectonic evolution and the formation of Danxia landform, systematically disseminates the geosciences of Danxiashan to tourists and displays the stratum specimens and plant specimens in different geological periods collected in Danxia Basin.

Danxia Landform and Research Results Hall mainly introduces the types, the distribution both at home and abroad and the research history of Danxia landform, from which tourists can learn about the value and position of Danxiashan and Danxia landform in Geology field.

Planning and Future Hall presents the short-term and long-term protection, development and planning of Danxiashan to tourists with figure legends. Through the implementation of the planning, geological relics, the completeness of the ecological environment and the species diversity are effectively protected, making Danxiashan Geopark be an eternal education base for the scientific research and science popularization.
