Xiafu Village is located in Danxia Street, Renhua County, Shaoguan, situated on the alluvial plain on the right bank of Jinjiang River. It was founded during the reign of Emperor Lizong of the Southern Song Dynasty when the scholar Li Ziyi from Ji'an, Jiangxi, moved here with his entire clan. Historically, it was the first commercial port on the lower reaches of Jinjiang River. The village retains its complete layout of streets and alleys, with the street surfaces mostly paved with blue stones and cobblestones. Four streets extend from the central "Triangle Street" towards the southeast, southwest, and northwest, along which many traditional Hakka residences are distributed. Representative houses include Wudongwu House and the Li Clan Ancestral Hall.
