By directly excavating stone bars from the rock, not only can the usable area of the rock cave be expanded, but the excavated stones can also be used to build houses, fortress gates, and fortress walls, achieving multiple benefits in one go. Below the caves of Yanglouzhai Fortress, there is a preserved site where stone bars were once excavated. The ground at the site is arranged with neatly cut stone bars, many of which have not yet been separated from the ground.
